Bishnupur Sub-Circle

About this monument

This is a big cannon believed to have been fired by the city deity Madanmohan to save the Malla capital from the plundering of the Maratha army. The cannon 3.8 m long has a bore measuring 28.6 cm. The gun bears an inscription in Persian character.
