About this monument
The temple is built of laterite stone. It belongs to the ekaratna category with a tall single ratna in the center of its humped roof. The four sides of the temple have a triple-arched façade each. It was covered with stucco plaster much of which has disappeared. On the south face there were panels containing figure sculptures with their laterite cores finished in stucco. They depicted Dasavatara and other figures. The plaster has largely lost leaving the crudely sculpted laterite core exposed. The foundation stone records the building of the temple by Raghunath Simha in 1656 A.D.
