About this monument

In a cave in the Susunia Hill two rockcut inscriptions were noticed. The inscriptions record that Chandravarman, the son of Simha Varman, the lord of Puskarana (mod. Pokharna), was a devotee of Chakrasvami (Vishnu) to whom the Dhosa village was granted. The palaeography of the inscriptions assigns Chandravarman to c. 4th century A.D.
