About this monument
Local people believe that under one of the mounds are buried the ruins of the palace of King Bhadrasana. The eroded section of the mound exposes the part of a brick-built wall. The bricks measure 29.2 x 24.01 cm. The mound also has brick bats strewn over and around it. The second mound to the north of the first one is believed to have covered a Siva temple. Archaeologists are of the opinion that the monuments underneath these two mounds belong to c.10th-11th century A.D.
