About this monument
The temple is of the ekaratna type. The medium of its construction is laterite. Situated to the south of the Lalji Temple, it stands within a large enclosed court and faces south. The temple is noted for the relief sculptures made on its stucco plastered wall. The decorations include arabesque and geometric patterns, a large figure of Anantasayin Visnu, depiction of Krishnalila episodes etc. The temple was built by Chaitanya Simha in 1758 A.D. This temple is latest of the dated temples in Vishnupur.
