Both laterite and sandstone were used in the construction of this temple. It is built on a cruciform plan and was originally roofed by a sikhara type tower. Successive renovation has radically changed this south facing temple. It enshrines a linga which is remarkable for its huge size. The temple cannot be precisely dated for its present renovated appearance.
