About this monument

The temple was once externally square nestling an oblong sanctum with an oblong verandah in front. The latter had a triple-arched façade. It was covered by a charchala roof. The temple enshrined an image of Vishnu which was later stolen. Extensive renovation has completely obscured the early features of the temple. It was probably constructed during the 16th century A.D.
