About this monument

The brick-built temple, facing east, consists of a deul and a mandapa. The deul has a tall ridged sikhara which tapers instead of curves inward. Top of the sikhara was restored later. The mandapa replicates the sikhara in a smaller scale. It may be entered through an arched door. A false door is provided on the south. The temple is sparsely decorated with terracotta reliefs on all sides. According to the dedicatory inscription, one Gangarama commissioned the construction of the temple in 1580 A.D. After erecting the temple in 1599 A.D. it was dedicated to Narasimha.
